Radical Change from Instagram!
Instagram Stories Are Moving to Reels: Does It Make Sense or Is It a Stray From Its Essence?
Social media giant Instagram is here with an important update that will reshape user habits: Stories, one of the most used features of the app, will now be located directly under the Reels tab!
When Instagram first entered our lives, it was a simple social media platform where we could only share photos. However, over time, evolving user habits and digital trends have led this platform to undergo radical changes. Although the Stories feature was initially criticized when it was added to the platform, inspired by Snapchat, it quickly became one of the most used features of Instagram. Now, a new change is on the way: The Stories tab is being completely removed from the homepage and moved to the Reels section.
What's Changing?
According to a post by Alessandro Paluzzi, one of the reliable sources, on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Instagram plans to completely remove the Stories section from the homepage and integrate it into the Reels tab in the near future. According to the statements made, Stories will be located at the top of the Reels tab. Currently, this innovation stands out as a feature that is only being tested in the beta version, and it is not yet clear when it will be active in the stable version.
This step by Instagram once again underlines the importance the platform gives to video content. However, how this change will affect the user experience will be more clearly understood with the release of the stable version. It may be a useful change for some, but it may be too radical for others.
We will all see the effects of this radical change in the future.
